I have a tenant who is on a month to month lease. what kind of notice if any do I have to give them? The circumstances are, they are not residing on the premises now. On the first of September my house started on fire and we all had to vacate until the work is done to the house. It will be another couple of weeks but I do not wish to move the tenants back in when it is ready.

Check http://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/704/_18 #1704.19..... It's alway good to give a reason for not terminating month-to-month. Tell them that you're not sure how long it will take the place to get fix and/or you are considering selling. This way you won't hurt their feelings. -----Disclaimer: Since I’ve been answering a lot of questions, I thought I would make the following statement. I’m not affiliated with EZlandlord Forms.
