Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I have a tenant who wants me to extend the 60 Day Notice to Vacate because she is buying a home and it will not close escrow until 15 days after the notice date. She is willing to pay a pro-rated rent. Is there a specific extension notice or so I have to draw one up? And will any extension nullify my existing 60 Day Notice to Vacate?

RE: Extending 60 Day Notice
Don't extend it. If she wants to stay in the property through a certain date, she can pay rent for that time. Besides, it's not like the sheriff will show up at the house on Day 61; you still need to file in court and go through that process, which takes a long time.
