Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Our tenants lease ending @ end of Month.
They've be habitually Late or pay weekly.
Current Month's Rent not paid.
Now asking for 7 day extension.
New tenants have already give security deposit.
We've advised current tenants they need to vacate per lease.
Is there any recourse we have to assure they move out on time?

RE: Lease Ending/Habitually late/Asking for Entension
No there isn't. Your recourse is to file for eviction, which takes forever. So, you'll have to use your powers of persuasion to make sure they're out on time, or else you might lose your new tenants while you go through the process of evicting the old ones.
