Landlord Question and Answer Forum
My tenant has not been at the home for about 1 month. They did call me and told me they were going to move. I told them they needed to have there possessions out at the beginning of the month. A week later they called and wanted to stay - I told them they could if they paid their back rent. It has been over 1 month since anyone has been at the house - no one has been there since last time I spoke to them - I called tenant again and they said something came up not sure if they can stay there - I told them they would need to move their possession. I posted a 10 day eviction notice on their door - a gas shut off notice was on the door. How long do I have to give them to get their personal property out and off the premises? This is in PA.

RE: Abandoned property
File for eviction, and get a judgment against them for the back rent. At the court date, ask the judge when you can remove their belongings if you think they skipped out on the property.
