Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Hello!
What are your thoughts on a tenant sending a move out notice to an email address that has not been in use for 2.5 years?
Her notices to vacate by the end of February were sent from my correct address but she chose to respond to an old address.
She sent a notice to vacate a month early but I was unaware until she texted me yesterday.
Eager to hear what you all think

RE: notice sent to wrong email
What are you looking for to gain? If it's just one month's rent because she failed to notice you properly then you have to take her to court if she refuses to pay. Even so, you'd have to get the judge on your side. If I were you, I'd keep the deposit until she serves me for civil court.
