Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Hello, I'm new at this. I always thought that a tenant had to give 30 days notice. I guess I didn't think ahead. My tenant has decided to move out at the end of their lease, which is January 31, 2019. They didn't tell me until today, the 10th. Are they liable for rent for 30 days from today? There is nothing in the lease that says they have to give 30 days notice, so I'm guessing not, but I guess I was just confused and want to confirm. Thanks!

RE: end of lease
If it is not in the lease than they don't have to give 30 days. I have all my lease auto renew for another year if 60 days notice is not given.
