Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Tenant was asked to move out because he owes rent and has been unable to pay. He finally moved but has stored all of his belongings in the carport that was designated for his unit. Can I charge him storage fees from the beginning or do I have to wait a certain amount of days? He is one for procrastinating and making promises he can't keep. If he doesn't remove his belongings, at which point can I get rid of all the boxes, etc that are stored in the carport. This is a private home and he was renting a studio in the back of the house.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

RE: tenant storage
Just Google "How long after tenant vacates to take property in CA". It's right there.
