Hello All, I am closing on a property very soon. It is a multifamily home with two houses on one lot located in Montana. I plan to rent the larger unit and live in the smaller home. Unfortunately, the home I wish to live in is occupied by a tenant already. They are on a month-to-month rental agreement with their current landlord but I want to know if when I gain ownership of the residence if I will be able to go ahead an issue a notice to vacate or a notice of lease non-renewal without having the tenant sign a new month-to-month lease agreement with me first?
