Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I need some advice, please. I am evicting a tenant after almost 3 long months of non-payment.
What I need to know is when the sheriff's office removes this tenant for good, can I also
re-key the lock on the mailbox? I don't want to give this guy any reason to come near my property.
Thank you for your help and suggestions!

RE: Mailbox issue...
Yes, once an official or eviction officer removes the tenant there is basically the legal document or warrant created. You can then re-key everything that they had access to. The tenant themselves would need to add a change of location through the postal service.
