Landlord Question and Answer Forum
The sheriff is coming to finalize the eviction of the tenant from hell any day now. I will change the locks on the house and start cleaning and disinfecting the whole place. Anything that is still in the house, I will put in the garage. I will give her 30 days to pay the amount of the judgment and get her property back.
After that, I plan on throwing everything away. I will keep the appliances she brought into the house, but that's it.
Has anyone else ever had to go to this extreme just to get rid of some one?

RE: How long do I have to hold on to tenant's property?
You'll also need to send a letter or post on your premises stating that the tenants property will be disposed of if they fail to respond within 10 days. It's a pain, but worth it to start over with a clean slate!
