Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Tenants lease up in a couple months, I need to give notice that we no longer intend to renew yearly lease, however tenants have asked if they can rent month to month for 3 additional months beyond year lease move out date( which we agree) how and what forms can I make this transition clearly stated. I'm thinking a non renewal notice with s brand new month to month lease offered, however a friend said I should just have an addendum to different move out date. Thanks for any input. California

RE: Year lease to month to month
You can do a simple lease renewal that just extends it for the time that you agree on. They would need to sign it and you would need to have the original copy of the lease to refer to incase something happens. A lease extension or renewal is a great short way to sign a contract.
