I had to evict my tenants, first with the ezlandlord forms, then the sheriff issued eviction. They are giving me a hard time. Say they can't move into their new place until Friday, so they want to stay until then. I said no. They moved all their stuff outside and what they could into a uhaul truck, now all is sitting there including the truck and they are nowhere to be found and won't answer their phones or respond to text. What is my next step?

RE: abandoned property
If the eviction is filed with the court and the time to move out is over you may need to put the belonging in storage then file the cost of storage with the courts so that they are held responsible. You may also need to change the locks, since the eviction is filed and the time is over you can change the locks legally. Check for all of the details with the court that you filed with.
