Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I have a tenant, who has issues with the law and he went back to his country and wont be back. His cousin was living with in the Unit but he's not on the lease. The cousin told me that he could not afford the lease, however, if I could let him stay using his last month. It has been 3 months already since the tenant left, what are my options about him not coming back?

Start the eviction process for everyone and get new renters in there ASAP. If you file an eviction with the court you will be all set that if they try to come back in 4 months that they have already been evicted. As for the cousin cut him loose he is not on the lease. He has no right being in the house. Get the house ready for showing and change the lock once you have new renters.
