Landlord Question and Answer Forum
My tenant just moved out and left a bunch (about 20 pieces) of dog poop in the back yard. It is a fenced in back yard so it was definitely her pets. How much can I deduct from her deposit for this?

RE: Tenant left dog poop
Was it an outrageous amount that destroyed anything or where they in violation of the lease by having a pet? If not do not deduct any money from the security deposit pick it up and focus on preparing the rental unit for the next tenant. In the new lease make sure you state that they must clean up after the pet and charge a pet fee.
