Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I'm a landlord for an Ohio property but also a Renter in NC. I have a question as to my rights on providing notice that I do not intend to renew my lease. The lease states I have to provide 60 day written notice if I choose to not renew my lease. Is this lawful in NC? I was under the impression a 30 day notice is all that is required? Thanks for any information.

RE: Notice to not renew lease as a Renter
If you have signed a lease that states those terms then you have agreed to those terms. You are required to abide by the contract that you signed. Be open with the landlord and make sure that you communicate and try to work with them. They will most likely understand.
