Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I am raising my tenants rent and making a change to one of the lease terms. I have the form printed, how should I deliver this form to the tenant? In person, regular mail, certified mail??
thanks

RE: Best way to notify tenant
I agree with Karen. However, even if you hand deliver the form, the tenant can say they never received it. Likewise, if the tenant is not home when the Postal Service delivers the the notice, the tenant must now pick it up from the Post Office and there is no guarantee that they will. I am currently going through a similar situation; my tenant will not pick up the certified letter and the Postal Service will not redeliver unless the tenant is on the phone with the PS indicating that they will be home the next time the letter is delivered.
