Landlord Question and Answer Forum
We have three tenants renting our home. Two of them have been carrying the full rent now for a few months while the third has not been pulling his weight. Is it the responsibilty of all three to pay full rent or is it the individual? If two of them pay their portion of the rent and not the third, does the burden fall upon the two who are paying to make up his portion or not?

Jackie, how do you have it set up on your lease? You could send the 3rd tenant a late notice if the rent is late, but it seems that the other two are paying the portion. Until the rent is late, there really is nothing that can be done.
