Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I drafted a lease and made a mistake making the starting year of the lease the same as the ending year. Example Feb. 2012 thru Jan. 2012. It should have said Feb. 2012 thru Jan. 2013. The tenants have communicated that they would like to leave the property earlier than the lease was suppose to end, due to marital issues. Can the tenants legally leave the property whenever they like because the year is dated incorrectly?
