Landlord Question and Answer Forum
We have a rental house and we suspect there are additional people living in the house aside from the people on the lease. Before we proceed with raising the rent based on the terms of the lease for additional people, can anyone tell me how we can prove this, do we need proof, and how can we go about finding out who receives mail at the residence? Thanks!

RE: people not on lease living in residence
There is a lot of ways to find out, park your car 1/2 block from the property about 5 A.M. till about 8A.M. and watch how many people comes out to go to work, check the mail box for names, and go to the property for a safety check, go to the bathroom and count tooth brushes, no, I don't think you need proof but it don't hurt to take pictures with a good camera.
