Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Our two tenants (married) are not getting along, and while the husband was was serving a 5 month DUI charge, the wife asked that his name be removed from the lease. This was without his knowledge or consent, and that seems illegal to me. Is it legal?

RE: Can a lessee be removed from a lease without his/her consent?
Absolutely NOT!!! A name cannot be removed from a legal contract without legal consent.
