Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I used the Residential Lease Package and included the addendum on Renters Insurance. The unit is partially furnished and had a mattress included. After a month the tenant complained of fiberglass poisoning because the mattress cover had become unzipped and is now demanding to be let out of the lease and compensated. more than $8,000 for her personal items (clothes, bedding) that she wants to be replaced. Anyone out there with experience on using this lease and addendum as a defense against liability?
