Addendums

A renter is approved for section 8. The renter has a contract dated Aug. 2017 with me. Housing authority has a new contract  dated 1-16-2020 and will pay half the rent. How do I add this to the original contract. Rent is due on the 1st in the original lease.

From what I know of the new Tenant has to be approved by section 8 and again an Addendum is legal as long as Section 8 has been made aware of it. Would recommend contacting them yourself and don't count on the Tenant to do so.
