Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Hello,
I am a landlord in Seattle and want to renew the lease for another year but with an increase of about 9% in rent with existing tenants. However, I have an "Ending The Lease" term saying: "At the end of this Lease Agreement Tenant must vacate and shall immediately and peacefully surrender and return to the Landlord the possession of the Leased Premises". Can I do this with a renewal notice or have to draw a new lease?

RE: Lease Renewal
As long as both the tenant and landlord are in agreement, you can change anything in the lease. For this, issue a new lease with the appropriate wording.

RE: Lease Renewal
Hello! After a signed Lease Renewal saying (If you agree to continue the lease, all term and condition of your lease will remain in full force and effect.) Do I have to draw a new lease? Iustina A.
