Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Hi, I sublet a room that i'm leasing and the tenant is trying to get out of the lease.
He has written in email with a list of complaints- some complaints are just untrue or exaggerated (roaches, mold, rats), others are about roommate complaints (guests coming over), and others about issues with door locking that he has never brought up before.
He has no legal ground to stand on , but how should i respond? I dont want to start a long back and forth email chain casting blame .

RE: Sub tenant trying to get out of lease
Does your lease allow you to sublet? Is the sublet a month to month or longer?
