Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I have a unique situation. Church is hiring an intern and his family and has agreed to pay for their housing. I have excellent relationship and contact with both church and intern. At first I thought of listing church as tenant along with intern. But maybe co-signer is the way to go. Thoughts? I talked with church and they are accepting full responsibility of all payments and of condition of unit when intern leaves.

RE: church is paying rent for tenants who are interns. co-signer??
I think the church would actually be the tenants. If they are the ones who are taking responsibility of the lease, they should be included as tenants. I would probably construct the lease as having both the church and the family as tenants in the lease.
