Forum / Leasing Issues / Information regarding Pet Rent?

We are having issues with pets that were not on the rental agreement and I have heard that the new way to address this is with pet rent. I do not know much about it but I believe it will be better than the small security deposit as pets usually do more damage than what the security deposit can cover. Any thoughts or links or even suggested letters to send out.

I have heard of pet rent being like an additional 100 bucks a month along with the security deposit, but I have never done it before. I hope you find your answer!
