I have a tenant that the owner did not want to renew the lease. We sent a notice of non renewal of lease at the first of the month - now he has not paid the rent, he is not answering calls and I don't know what the next step I need to take. Any advise?

That is awful. I would make sure to document everything that was sent and ignored. I would also contact an attorney.

I'm sure it depends on why the owner did not want to renew the lease. Was the tenant a habitual late rent payer? Was some housekeeping rules broken? Was this a tenant that was always calling about needing repairs?
