Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I have new tenants that will be signing the lease tomorrow (June 10th). The husband has been relocated but his wife is not in California yet and won't be until July 1st. How do I list her on the lease if she is not present at the signing? Should the lease be made in his name only and list her as an occupant or is it better to email a copy of the lease, have her sign it, and then fax it back?

RE: How to handle lease signing when wife is out of town.
I would add her to the lease when she is able to sign. If she is not the responsible party for the rent, another option would be to add her as an occupant.
