Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Long story, but I could not rent our home in time due to the fact that the current tenants were not proponents of cleaning. This is our first rental and I am 1 year into it. If the house sits empty for 1 month, what are my to-do's? Should I change all of the utilities back to my name? I am sure that this is a silly question, but I am brand new to this.
Thanks in advance for your time!

RE: Home will be vacant for 1 month
Usually the previous tenant will make sure to get utilities shut off and no longer in their name. If the landlord needs the utilities on while fixing the property or cleaning, can put them in their name but i guess only if you need them. I would just start your search for the new tenants!
