Landlord Question and Answer Forum
When providing all appliances (stove, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer) how would one go about determining an appropriate amount of rent? Is there an extra percentage added to what the normal rent would be.

RE: Amount of extra rent for providing appliances?
Think of the total price for purchase and installation of all appliances and then break that down into either a 12 month period or take a percent of that for the total amount of time that the appliance should last. Think stove average life span is between 10 and 15 years, then divide the total up by that with wear and tear. You would want the appliance to be covered so when you need to replace you have the cash in hand!
