Landlord Question and Answer Forum
My soon to be tenant supplied me with a letter to have her emotional support pit bull. The only problem is that the Dr. on the letter is a fake name. I contacted the company the letter supposedly came from and they confirmed that it is fake. My question is, due to the Americans with Disabilities Act am I allowed to question her about the forged documents? Am I allowed to cancel her lease that goes into effect on Nov. 1?

RE: Potential tenant falsifed Dr. note for pet
Report the forgery to the authorities this is an illegal act. Then you will not need to question her and you will need to evict her.

cancel the lease. ADA does not support fraudulent claims of disability.
