Landlord Question and Answer Forum
By email, my tenant (who has been in unit for a few years) first agreed to $750 for a 6 month lease for a 1/1 Texas townhouse, with option to renew when lease ends. Then I offered 12 month lease for $725. I have not drawn up the lease yet, but would like to return to original $750 for 6 month lease. Is that legal?

RE: Can Lease Amount Be Changed after agreed to by email?
I would assume that if they have not signed it yet then that would be fine, they would just have to agree to it. Everything is based on the original 6 mo. contract until there is a new one agreed upon.
