Landlord Question and Answer Forum
In Oregon, I have been told that you can no longer ask/request a pet deposit and you can not discriminate against someone who has a THARAPY PET.
A family interested in our property has a Therapy dog and they also have an 'OUTDOOR' CAT.
I was wondering what do others DO in this kind of instance? There are animals who damage or urinate on property and it is very costly to the owner.

RE: Therapy Animals/Deposits
Beginning on March 15, 2011, only dogs are recognized as service animals under titles II and III of the ADA. So in that case, you could charge a pet fee for the cat.
