Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I have a lease agreement extension that I recently sent to my current renter that has new terms and conditions. My renter has written via email that he is committed to extending the lease with the new terms however he has not returned a signed lease to me yet. So, my question is: am I legally committed to moving forward with the lease I sent him if it has not been signed but we have agreed via email?
Thank you!

RE: Email committments for lease extension
To be sure, I would insist on the tenant signing the document. You just never know with email.
