Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I have a potential tenant who has several derogatory posts for seemimgly small bills. I'm afraid this pattern is her norm. Can you explain what 'derogatory' really means in terms of your credit rating?

RE: 'Derogatory" on Credit Report
Most commonly it refers to late payments, but also includes other information that indicates credit risk. Things like collection accounts, foreclosures, bankruptcy, tax liens and civil judgments are also considered derogatory.
