Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I'm renting out a room in my house in Washington. We are herb-friendly but want to keep other (hard) drugs OUT. I am considering including the lease clause that states the tenant shall not use the premises for unlawful activity, particularly illegal drugs....but specify hard drugs, or else eliminate the drug specification altogether. What do you think would be the best way to handle this?

RE: 420-Friendly Rental
You can't state that an illegal activity is permitted. You can state smoking is permitted, but you can't state that smoke herbal drugs are.
