Peep Hole

We have a few units and one does not have a peep hole and the tenants are asking for one to be installed stating that it is a safety issue.  I look at this as an improvement but not necessary.  Is there any law that regulates this.

google it
Usually the tenant wants a PEEP Hole to see whether the Landlord is at the door, to get rent, or a Process Server at the door, to serve them.   How often do tenants REALLY need security, that they are demanding or desiring.    I had a door replaced due to repairs and the new door was without the Peep hole. I learned of the same desire, but only after the tenant began to fall on the rent.      If that is the case for you, you know darn well, there is NO security involved.     If it is not the case, it may be a genuine concern, but one can always have the chain lock inside to address any security issues as well.  Propose that and see how the tenant responds, you will get to know where they really stand or how genuine is their request.
