Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I filed a lawsuit against my tenant for non payment and eviction was almost done.
Then, the tenant made full rent deposit to the court, and I was called to the court for tenant's appeal for relief from eviction.
I didn't know about the procedure, so I hired an attorney at this stage.
The judge decided to let the tenant stay the apartment.
Because I started without attorney at Tenant/Landlord court, so attorney's fee was not included to the amount the tenant owes me. Could I claim the fee at civil court like small claims court ?

RE: Attorney Fee
If it is stated in your lease, you can charge an attorney fee.
