Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I have a potential tenant that wants a long term lease like 2 - 3 years but wants a break in the rent amount.
What do you think is fair? The unit rents for 1,200.00 per month.
What are the pros and cons? I am a new landlord.

RE: Tenant wants Long term lease
Personally, I wouldn't do a long term lease. Leases lock up the rent for the term of the lease. Smart move on tenant part. Negotiate lower rent for long term and move out whenever it becomes convenient. How many time has it been written here that a tenant broke their lease?
