Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I am thinking of installing Solar Power on my rental home. The huge roof is south facing, plus any overages will be applied to the house I live in. My plan is to charge the tenants a discounted kilowatt per hour charge. The electrical bill will go into my name. Any suggestions or anyone with experience dealing with this.

RE: Solar Power
If you are running solar and feeding back into the grid then your electric cost would technically be 0.00. Use this as a perk and incentive for your tenants to not have to pay electric, but include it as a potion of higher rent. This adds value to the property and if the tenant knows they dont have electric to pay they will be receptive to a higher rent.
