Landlord Question and Answer Forum
My daughter is renting in Colorado, in a building advertised as "secure" with security cameras, however, the last two incidents they had at the apartment, she called and asked that they review the security camera footage to see what was going on (a stalker and now a car accident) and both times she was told that the cameras were not working. I am beginning to believe the cameras were just a hoax and they don't work at all. What is our recourse in this situation?

RE: Lease advertised secure building with security cameras
If the tenant does not feel safe, they should definitely not be held to a lease agreement. If the property advertised surveillance they should be kept at that standard.
