RE: Renter Insurance
Most of the time the renter only really needs to have enough to cover their own personal valuables. They are not required to be responsible for insuring the property at all. That should all be covered by your home owners insurance.

RE: Renter Insurance
We require our tenants to purchase renters insurance as well. Most of our tenants get policies with $10,000 personal property, $100,000 personal liability and $1,000 medical coverage. If you're looking for a seamless way for your tenants to get their insurance and get an email copy of the evidence of insurance, we found an awesome solution. Go to www.safebutler.com/home. Our tenants were able to get quotes from top carriers and purchase policies in 5 minutes!
