Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I live in a "house" with 7 other roommates. One of the roommates has decided to put a video camera in the kitchen. Because this is considered a "common area" is it legal for him to do this?
I have two problems with this; first, I did not give permission for him to video tape me, second, this camera is set up on a microwave that is the height of all the women's chests in the house.
This person does NOT own the house. Is any of this legal?

RE: Video Camera in Common living space ( Maryland)
Because he lives there it is not illegal, so you can't sue. Best option would be to go to your landlord and talk with them about this. Good luck!
