Landlord Question and Answer Forum

Forum / Other / Increasing Rent
I purchased a property with tenant in place. The tenant is currently paying below the market value for rent. I wanted to know if there is a way to increase the rent without violating any rent stabilization laws/rules for Los Angeles, CA.

RE: Increasing Rent
In CA if you are raising your rent more than 10 percent you must give 60 days notice and if you are raising the rent 10% or less you would have to give at least 30 days notice.
