Landlord Question and Answer Forum
If tenant does cosmetic damage to washer, dryer, fridge or stove in rental property but the possibility that they work mechanically correct. What are my options to replacing the now used appliances with other/new appliances and how much can they be charged for replacements?

RE: Damage to appliances
It really depends on how bad the cosmetic damage is...is it deliberate or normal wear and tear? If the machine works keep it and get the most out of it. How pretty do you want a washer machine to be? Appliances will run down on their own. As long as it still works, that is the most important function of the appliance.
