Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I have a tenant who continues to wash every single day sending my water bill through the roof. I'd sent a warning letter to her reminding her about water consumption and tips of how to decrease water use. I also took into consideration and added to the letter of the current pandemic we are in. However, she still continues to wash every single day sometimes twice per day. I pay $300-$400 for water monthly. Currently no water leaks present. She is on a month to month and I had promise last year I wouldn't raise her rent until 2 years from now. Should I raise her rent? I don't want to be cruel despite the pandemic and I know times are tough but she seems to have no consideration even with the warning letter for water consumption.
