Prior to filing a Complaint in court, the 3 Day Notice to Quit is often required as the final step in the eviction process.

Who: Give this 3 Day Notice to a tenant who has violated any of the reasons specified within New Jersey State Law (N.J.S.A. 2A:18-61.1.)

What: The Notice to Quit warns the tenant to vacate or face eviction.

When: This is given to a tenant 3 days prior to filing a complaint in a New Jersey court.
