Wisconsin 5 Day Notice to Pay or Vacate

Document Description

The 5 Day Notice to Pay or Vacate notifies a tenant who is late with a rental payment that he or she must pay or vacate the premises, OR face eviction.

Who: The Wisconsin 5 Day Notice to Pay or Vacate is used for a tenant who has failed to pay rent on a month to month tenancy OR a tenant on a tenancy of less than one year; when the rent is late for the first time.

What: The 5-Day- Notice to Pay or Vacate Premises is the required notice used prior to filing for an eviction.

When: Use this notice at least 5 days before filing in the appropriate court for an eviction, provided the tenant has not paid rent.

IMPORTANT Wisconsin has complicated eviction requirements. It is suggested that an attorney be consulted before attempting an eviction.
