This federal act passed by President Obama in 2009, protects tenants and provides procedures in the event a rental property goes into foreclosure.

As of May 20, 2009, any immediate successor in interest of a foreclosed upon residential real property must give a notice to vacate to any bona fide tenant of at least 90 days before the effective date of foreclosure.

Who: This document shall be given to tenants, informing them of their rights in the event of foreclosure.
