Giving notice is the first step in the eviction process. The notice required in Connecticut is a 3 Day Notice. Download this document, fill in the necessary information, print, and send to your tenant.

Who: Give this to the tenant who falls behind in rent beyond any grace period if applicable OR for any violation of the lease agreement.

What: This is the required 3 Day Notice to Quit Possession before court proceedings are initiated.

When: For Non-Payment of Rent:
Month to Month Agreements: No earlier than 10 Days after rent is due.
Week to Week Agreements: No earlier than 5 Days after rent is due.
Other Reasons: 3 Days prior to filing in court.
